Remembrances when hearing thunder

Glory be to Him whom the thunder praises and the angels glorify in His fear.

When you hear the sound

Oh God, do not kill us with your anger, and do not destroy us with your torment, and protect us before that.

A supplication when thunder strikes

Glory be to Him who shows you the lightning for fear and hope.

Inspired by the verse (Thunder 12)

There is no god but Allah.

Ibn al-Zubayr used to leave the hadith and say it

Oh God, make it a mercy and do not make it a torment.
