Prayer supplication
I said to the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him: Teach me a supplication to pray with in my prayers. He said: “Say: O God, I have wronged myself greatly, and no one forgives sins except You, so grant me forgiveness from With You, and have mercy on me, for You are the Forgiving, the Merciful.

Who has lived a long time?
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked: Which people are the best? He said: “He who lives long and does good deeds.”

Prohibition of backbiting
While I was with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, a man passed by and said: What a miserable servant of God this is! The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “No, Abu Bakr, do not harm the Muslim.”

The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “You must say ‘There is no god but God’ and seek forgiveness, so do a lot of them, for Satan said: I destroyed people because of sins. And they destroyed me by saying there is no god but Allah and asking for forgiveness.”

Abu Bakr advised Omar, saying: “Know that God has work during the day that He does not accept at night, and work at night that He does not accept during the day, and that He does not accept voluntary until the obligatory prayer is performed.”

Hidden polytheism
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The polytheism among you is more subtle than the crawling of an ant.” I said: O Messenger of God, is polytheism anything other than that which is worshiped instead of God? He said: “May your mother be bereaved of you... Shall I not teach you words that, if you say them, may God remove from you, both small and great? Say: O God, I seek refuge in You from associating partners with You while I know, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I do not know.

Supplication when distressed
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “The supplications of the afflicted: O God, I hope for Your mercy, so do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye, and rectify for me all my affairs.
