Ammar said: “Three things are combined by faith: being fair to yourself, offering peace to the world, and spending out of frugality.”

The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Woe to Ammar, the transgressing group will kill him. They will invite them to Paradise, and they will invite him to Hell.”

I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, say: “The length of a man’s prayer and the shortness of his sermon are a sign of his jurisprudence (i.e., a sign), so lengthen the prayer and shorten the sermon.”

Ammar was praying: “O God, with Your knowledge of the unseen, and Your ability to create, keep me alive as long as You know that life is good for me, and cause me to die when You know that death is good for me... I ask you for the pleasure of looking at your face and the longing to meet you.”
