The Prophet’s prayer at night
I prayed with the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, one night, and he opened Al-Baqarah... then Al-Nisa’... then Al-Imran. He recited slowly. If he came across a verse containing praise, he said “Subhaanahu”, and if he came across a question, he asked, and if he came across a “ta’awdha”, he would seek refuge.

The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “By the One in whose hand is my soul, you will either enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, or God will soon send down upon you a punishment from Him. Then you call upon Him, but He does not answer you.”
