The Prophet's bed

The bed of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, on which he slept was made of human skin, stuffed with fiber.

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays.

The prayer of calamity

The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “There is no servant who is afflicted with a calamity and says: To God we belong and to Him we shall return. O God, protect me from my calamity and leave me something better than it. But God will reward him for his calamity and give him something better than it.”

Urging prayer

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, established the prayer, and Umm Salamah came and said: “O Messenger of God, a man prays in his house and then goes out. Does he have a reward?” He said: “Yes, he has a great reward.”

Umm Salamah was asked: Should a woman pray wearing armor and a veil without a garment on her? She said: “If it is open, it covers the backs of her feet.”

A prayer upon waking up

Whenever the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, woke up from sleep, he would say: “Praise be to God who has given us life after He has caused us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.”
