🏃 His exit from Egypt and prophecy

Killing the Copt: When Moses grew up, he entered the city and found two men fighting, one of them an Israeli and the other a Copt (from Pharaoh’s people), so the Israeli asked him for help. Moses poked the Copt and killed him. Moses regretted it, asked for forgiveness, and repented.

Fleeing to Midian: After learning that Pharaoh wanted to kill him, Moses fled to Midian, and there he married the daughter of Shuaib, peace be upon him (according to one of the famous sayings).

Revelation and prophecy: After spending his term in Midian, he took his family to Egypt. At Mount Tur (in Sinai), he saw a fire, and when he approached, God called him and spoke to him, and commissioned him to deliver the message to Pharaoh: “Indeed, I am God, Lord of the worlds.”

🤝 Pharaoh’s call and miracles

The Helper’s Request: Moses asked his Lord to send his brother Aaron with him, because he had a more eloquent tongue than him, so God responded to him: “And appoint for me a minister from my family * my brother Aaron” (Taha: 29-30). Aaron was also a prophet, a supporter and supporter of his brother.

Major Miracles: Moses and Aaron went to call Pharaoh and his people to worship God and release the children of Israel. Moses demonstrated his two great miracles: the staff (it turns into a visible snake) and his white hand (it comes out white without any harm).

Day of Decoration: Pharaoh challenged Moses with magicians. On the Day of Decoration, the magicians threw their ropes and sticks, which people imagined were moving. Then Moses threw his staff, and it swallowed up everything they had thrown, so the magicians all believed in God, the Lord of Moses and Aaron.

🚢 The Exodus from Egypt and the drowning of Pharaoh

Exodus: After repeated miracles and torment that befell Pharaoh and his people (flood, locusts, lice, frogs, blood), God commanded Moses to go out with the children of Israel at night.

Parting the sea: Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them. When Moses and those with him reached the sea, God commanded him to strike the sea with his staff, and it split into two dry paths, and Moses and his people passed through.

Pharaoh drowned: When Moses crossed, God commanded the sea to cover Pharaoh and his soldiers, so they all drowned, and Pharaoh’s faith was of no use at the moment of drowning.

🏞️ The wandering and the events of the children of Israel

Tablets and the Torah: After being saved, Moses went to speak to his Lord at Mount, and God revealed the Torah to him in the Tablets.

Worshiping the Calf: During Moses’ absence, the Samaritan led them astray and made a mooing calf for them, so they worshiped it. Aaron tried to stop them, but they almost killed him. When Moses returned, he became very angry and destroyed the calf.

Punishments and wandering: Because of the disobedience of the children of Israel and their refusal to enter the Holy Land (Jericho) at God’s command, God punished them with wandering for forty years in the Sinai desert.

God favored them: During the period of wandering, God continued to honor them with manna and quail (food from heaven), and with twelve springs of water bursting from the rock when Moses struck it with his staff.

🕊️ The death of Aaron and Moses, peace be upon them

Death of Aaron: Aaron, peace be upon him, died in the land of the wanderings before Moses.

The death of Moses: Moses, peace be upon him, died shortly after the death of Aaron, in the land of the wanderings, and it was said that he asked his Lord to bring him closer to the Holy Land.

Note: The message of Moses, peace be upon him, was to establish monotheism, liberate the Children of Israel from oppression, and establish a detailed law (the Torah) for them.
