📜 Lineage and birth
Lineage: He is Seth, son of Adam, the father of humans and Eve. He is a direct descendant of Adam.
Birth and upbringing: He was born after Cain (Cain) killed his brother Abel (Abel), and therefore he was called “Seth” or “God’s Gift” (i.e. the gift of God), because it was a gift and compensation to Adam and Eve for their loss of Abel.
Homeland: Earth, where his father Adam landed.
📖 His story and prophecy
The primary mission: the succession of Adam, peace be upon him, and carrying the first law of God after him.
Adam's will and succession: Seth, peace be upon him, is the son to whom Adam, peace be upon him, bequeathed and made him his successor after him. He was the most deserving of the people to carry the prophecy and preserve the teachings of God that Adam had received.
His prophecy: The majority of scholars agreed on his prophecy, and Imam Ibn Kathir and others mentioned that he carried out the duties of the matter after the death of Adam, peace be upon him. He was a prophet who reminded people of what he learned from his father and established justice among them.
His scriptures: It is mentioned in the hadiths that fifty scriptures were revealed to him (out of a total of one hundred scriptures revealed to the early prophets). These newspapers contained limits, provisions, and a simple law for establishing and organizing life at that early stage of human history.
Planetary Worship: Seth lived in an era in which his descendants were mostly upright in the faith. But some time after his death, deviations began to appear among his descendants, especially those who were descendants of Cain, and polytheism and the worship of idols and planets began to appear, which later led to the mission of Noah, peace be upon him.
⌛ His age and death
His age: There is no definitive reference to his age in the Qur’an and Sunnah, but biographies and history books mentioned that he lived 912 years, and it was said otherwise.
Death: Seth, peace be upon him, died on earth after a long life spent as a prophet and reforming his descendants after Adam.
Burial place: It is said that his burial was next to his parents, Adam and Eve.
Note: Seth, peace be upon him, is the great-grandfather of most of the subsequent prophets, as the line of Adam was cut off from the sons who remained in monotheism except for his descendants.
